The Nyssa School District 26 is seeking to fill a SCHOOL BOARD POSITION The term for this position ends June 30, 2027. Candidates must be 18 years or older, qualified to vote, be a resident of the Nyssa School District for at least one year and not be an employee of the School District. We are encouraging great attendance for the rest of the school year by drawing 12 names (2 from each grade level) each day to go “Shopping” in the store. Please continue to encourage students to get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, and be at school each day. TEACHER APPRECIATION PARADE -- To show our appreciation for our Teachers the students put on a parade. They lined up in two lines and the teachers paraded between the lines while all the students were cheering on and thanking their teachers for being AMAZING! Thank you Teachers! Our students are so thankful you are there teachers!

Today, our future class of 2037 joined us for a Bus Ride Around Nyssa! It was so fun for them to ride a big bus and get all the nerves out before the first day of school in August. All of our events we have done as part of the Kindergarten Experience were made possible by a grant we were awarded through our Malheur ESD and the Early Learning focus. We cannot wait for you to join our Bullpup family in August Class of 2037!

Kindergarten Experience -- We had 43 future kindergarten students from the class of 2037 join us for a Kindergarten Experience on Wednesday, May 15th. These students had a story read to them by Mrs. Peterson, got a tour of the school, ate lunch in the cafeteria, and played on the playground. As they were leaving they were given two books, one of them being "Kindergarten Here I Come." We are excited for them to be joining us at Nyssa Elementary School in the Fall!

Hello Families, Just a friendly reminder that there will be a Pathway to Preschool event located inside the McHall building next to the elementary school. Come check out the preschool programs in your area. Dinner will be provided and many giveaways. See you this evening anytime from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thank you!
