So we decided to have a VIRTUAL SPIRIT WEEK. This spirit week starts Monday the 13th, and goes through Friday the 17th. The winner of each day will be chosen and GIFT CARDS of their choosing will be dropped off at a secret location. Our school closure has been extended to April 28. After spring break our teachers will be adapting their courses to a temporary online format using google classroom, Zoom, online textbooks, edgenuity, and/or other online resources. We are fully committed to adjusting and providing the support needed for all students to earn credit and for our seniors to graduate on time. Enjoy your spring break and then anticipate your teachers contacting you the following week.

Senior Zayn Parker’s senior project was to organize and run a sporting event and he choose a volleyball tournament.... 6 teams signed up to compete. One team, in particular, had the odds stacked against them, that team was the STAFF INFECTION!! For days the other teams talked trash to them, told them things like, “easy dub!” “Old folks home” and laughed in their face....but the ‘STAFF INFECTION’ , underdogs by all accounts, walked right through every team they played!!! The STAFF INFECTION is your NHS Senior Project tournament champions!!! #nhs #staffinfection #champions
Mr. Sapp’s 10th graders took a field trip to the Warhawk Air museum in Nampa Idaho today and had the pleasure of meeting a living legend Mr. Ernie Ferguson. His platoon’s mission was to create a landing strip on an island in Japan. During this mission there were over 20,000 US soldier wounded or killed. Ernie made it! And he took the time to talk to us and shake our hands!! Thank you for your service Mr. Ferguson!

Dear Nyssa High school parents/students, there has been a change in our calendar for the month of DECEMBER. On the original calendar we had the 6th of December as a no school day and the 13th as a regular school day. Due to some unforeseen conflicts, it was necessary to switch these days. So now the 6th of December WILL BE A REGULAR SCHOOL DAY! And there will be NO SCHOOL ON DEC. 13th! Please make this change to your calendars. Thank you! #markyourcalendars #nhs #gobigblue
