We have received reports of a social media post circulating regarding threats toward neighboring schools. At this time, we have no reason to believe that Nyssa is one of the schools mentioned. However, we are closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with local law enforcement and will keep you updated should there be any changes.
Unfortunately, these types of threats are part of a viral trend we are seeing across the country due to recent events. We want to assure you that we are taking this seriously and prioritizing the safety of our students and staff.
If you or your students hear anything or have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your building administrators, counselors, teachers, or anonymously make a report to SAFEOREGON.
